Privacy policy: what we collect and what we never do

Short version: this is a static informational website. We collect nothing through the site itself: no accounts, no comments, no analytics scripts, no advertising trackers. If you email us, we receive your email address and message, the same as anyone you write to. That is the whole list. The sections below spell it out in full, because "trust us" is not a privacy policy.
What information do we collect?
Almost nothing. Here is the complete inventory:
| Situation | What we receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You browse the site | Nothing. The pages are static files; there is no form, login, or comment system sending data back to us. | Not applicable |
| You email us at [email protected] | Your email address and the contents of your message. | To read and reply to your message. |
| You tap a download link | Nothing from us. You leave this site for the publisher's own official page (for example, signal.org), where that site's privacy policy applies. | We link to official sources only. |
We do not buy, sell, rent, or share personal data. There is no data to share, because we do not collect it in the first place.
Do you use cookies?
No. We do not set any cookies, and we do not use local storage, fingerprinting, or any other on-device tracking technique. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live, not after.
Do you use analytics?
Not currently. These pages contain no analytics scripts and no tracking pixels. If the site owner adds a privacy-friendly analytics tool in the future, it will be limited to aggregate page-view counts with no cross-site tracking, and this policy will describe exactly what is measured.
What about advertising?
The site is designed with clearly labeled ad placeholder slots, but today no advertising scripts are running on these pages. If advertising is added later, it will appear only in those labeled slots, never disguised as content and never next to a download button. Any ad provider would operate under its own privacy policy, for example Google's advertising privacy policy if AdSense is used, and this page would link to it.
How long do you keep emails?
Only as long as needed to handle your request. Corrections and questions are typically resolved within days; rights requests follow the timeline in our takedown policy. After that, messages sit in the inbox until deleted. You can ask us to delete your message and email address at any time by writing to [email protected] from the same address, and we will confirm once it is done.
What are your rights over your data?
The only personal data we can hold is an email you sent us. Over it, you have the right to:
- See it: ask us what we still have from your correspondence.
- Correct it: if you sent updated details, tell us and we will use the corrected version.
- Delete it: ask us to remove your message and address entirely, as described above.
Write to [email protected] for any of these. We respond to privacy requests within a few business days.
What about children's privacy?
This site publishes general informational guides and is not directed at children. We knowingly collect nothing from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has emailed us and you want that message deleted, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Do you protect data in transit?
The site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and our pages is encrypted. Email, by its nature, is only as private as the mail providers on both ends. Avoid sending highly sensitive personal information by email if you can state your point without it.
Will this policy change?
If our data practices change, for example adding analytics or advertising, this page will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be noted briefly in the page text so returning readers can spot what is new. We will not quietly expand data collection and hope nobody notices; that would defeat the purpose of writing this page.
